I had the great pleasure of doing two workshops this week. One at Pine Run Village in Doylestown, PA, as part of their Pine Run University summer series, and one at the Grundy Library in Bristol, PA, where I was invited back after last year’s fiction writing workshop. What a pleasure!

After a short summer  hiatus, the in person journaling group resumes at Soupcon (Bucks on Bridge) in Lambertville, starting Monday, September 14. Intimate, safe, and revelatory. Come as you are! $10 per session.

I was asked to write an article for the Mystery Writers of America’s newsletter, The 3rd  Degree. It’s out, and I’m so pleased. It’s about how writers can take our experience and skills and offer them ‘beyond the page margins,’ from workshops to one-on-one coaching. You can read the entire  newsletter here.

I’ve put together something new for my introductory journaling workshops: a short, focused workbook designed to guide a one-hour to 90-minute session from start to finish.

No PowerPoint slides. No lengthy Word document handout. Just a concise, easy-to-follow workbook that walks participants through the basics of starting or maintaining a journaling practice—with room to actually write as we go through the workbook.

It’s built to be the core of the workshop itself, and something people can take home still holding the ideas and their own first pages.

I’ll be using it this month at Pine Run Village in Doylestown, and the Bristol, PA library in August. And it’ll serve as a calling card for future workshops as well. I might even use it to pitch to a cruise line! Free cruise, cabin for two, and a workshop ideally suited to the demographic on a cruise.

I was delighted to hear from the Grundy Library again. I did a fiction writing workshop there a year ago, and I’ve been invited back for a journaling workshop in August. I love libraries!

I’m very excited about this event. It’s not a back room at a coffee shop (and I love those too!).

I’ll be double-teaming again with author Kim Cook, whose memoir I helped write, and we’ll be joined by artist Larry Felder exhibiting his work.

This is one of my favorite groups to run. We’ve been meeting twice a month for over a year and a half.

I’ve been conducting a journaling workshop at the Hunterdon County main library branch for the past 9 months. It’s one of my favorites.

I conducted a two-person workshop last Saturday, April 25, with Mary Ann Hoffman at the New Hope Free Library. Her portion was on mind mapping and creative thinking, and mine was on writing.
