There’s a difference between writing things down and writing your way toward something—clarity, memory, meaning. This workshop is for anyone who has thought about keeping a journal but wasn’t sure where to start, or who used to journal and wants a reason to come back to it.

Journaling is about attention—slowing down long enough to notice what’s happening in our lives, and giving it a place to land on the page. Whether you’re hoping to process a difficult season, hold onto memories before they fade, or simply build a habit of reflection, this session will give you the tools to begin.

What We’ll Cover

  • Why journaling works, and what it can do for memory, perspective, and emotional clarity
  • Different approaches to journaling, from free writing to prompted and thematic entries
  • Simple techniques to get past the blank page and the inner critic
  • How to build a sustainable practice, even in just a few minutes a day
  • Guided writing time, so you leave with something already started

Who This Is For

No experience necessary. This workshop welcomes complete beginners as well as anyone who has kept a journal on and off for years and wants fresh structure and inspiration. You don’t need to consider yourself a writer—you just need to be willing to try.

What to Bring

A notebook or journal of your choosing, and a pen. If you don’t have one yet, that’s alright too; a few pages will be provided to get you started.
